"The property is nice, clean, and an easy location. We loved the bunk bed suites for the kids. The breakfast was good too. The only downside was the walls were not very sound proof - we could hear everything from the rooms next to us. The kids late at night, very early in the mornings, and running back and forth. We have stayed at many hotels in the area and this was the loudest we have had."

"This second-floor apartment is in a delightful old building within easy walking distance to downtown Santa Ana. Great for folks who can handle stairs easily. The decor is lovely and includes amazing paintings by the owner as well as an interesting selection of books. Beds are very comfortable and air-conditioning works well. The bathroom has been remodeled with high-end finishes. The patio is furnished nicely and even has shades.Because the building is older (probably built mid-20th century), electric outlets are limited, so guests might want to bring multi-plug surge protectors. We gave the place a 4 for cleanliness because the first thing we saw inside the door was a dirty dusting rag. Also, I spilled a bit of water on the bathroom floor, and the paper towel I used to wipe it up turned brown, like the floor hadn't been mopped. But the place was very tidy and uncluttered.The one major concern was that the iron railing along the very steep, tiled, outside staircase was very rickety. It wobbled like it would give way if anyone leaned on it. We were traveling with fit young adults, who didn't need to hold onto the rail - if we'd been traveling with older folks or anyone who needs the security of a railing, this would have been a disaster. The front door landing is tight, and if more than one or two people are standing on it, it feels like you could fall 20 feet to the concrete. I hope that this gets fixed, as it's otherwise a delightful place."
