"Such a great location. The best ice cream/candy shop is across the street. Easy walk to the campus, etc. The remodel from 2019 really improved the place a lot. I love the murals of old photos from the area. This will be my go to Chico stay."

"For an older hotel it is well maintained and clean. The staff was very helpful. I booked the wrong dates and they were able to help me book the second night at a rate that would embarrass Expedia as it should. I will book directly in the future. "

"My wife and I were looking forward to coming back to Chico. We hadn't been back for couple of years and were coming back to our homfetown of over 40 years before retirement, to attend a wedding of our good friends' son. The wedding was formal, tuxedos, back dresses, the whole thing.We traveld over 200 miles and got into town the day before the wedding. Needles to say, we were very disappointed when we started to get ready for the wedding the next day to discover that we had no hot water in the shower. I called the host's number and the voice mail had not been setup yet. I texted the number and left a message.We took cold showers so we could wash our hair, and clean up the best we could. I got to shave in cold water too.There were other problems too. The property was an old strip hotel consisting of 7 units located 100 feet off of Highway 32, a busy highway with traffic day and night. Beyond the highway were railroad tracks carrying traffic all day and night. Sleeping was difficult due to the noise, hardly the "relaxing gettaway" . Watching TV was not pleasant, sitting on the bed. As it turns out we were not happy and requested a refund on our first night due to the hot water issue. It worked the 2nd night, figured they fixed it. Our host responded to us later saying"did you try turning on the water for 20 minutes,.everyone else had hot water". She just shined us on regarding the refund. Not happy!"

"This was honestly the best stay we’ve had where the house was immaculate, lovely, well-organized, spacious, & comfortable. It was so beautiful yet at the same time so cozy & homey.We enjoyed the Keurig machine with so many choices of coffees. The kitchen was well-stocked & organized. Everything was clean & tidy.My adult sons loved the game room & spent time playing foosball each evening. The house was very big & the master bedroom’s bathroom even had 2 sinks which made getting ready in the morning very convenient!The master bedroom’s bathroom shower was so comfortable with good water pressure. Lots of towels. I didn’t go into the other bathroom which my sons shared but there were no issues. The backyard was huge & our dogs had a great time sunbathing & running around on the lovely green grass which was neat & nicely mowed. There is a big table & chairs and bbq (didn't get a chance to use). Felt very private with a tall fence.The beds were very clean & comfortable.The living room was well-equipped with a big tv & with lovely decor. Loved the dog statue and the flowers (not real of course).There is a big laundry room with washer & dryer, sink, & a long counter to fold clothes on.There is a garage which was very spacious. I think that covers all the rooms! A very wonderful stay & we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.Also, the home is in a quiet & pleasant neighborhood. Felt very safe & the neighbors seemed nice although we didn’t interact."
