"We really enjoyed our stay at Bamboo Town. It is in a quiet residential street less than 10 minutes from Enmachi Station and you get instructions how to get there in your information pack. It's 3 bus stops (roughly) from Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Temple) and we found it a good base for sightseeing in Kyoto by bus and train. "This place is a very old traditional house. It’s really unique. I couldn’t fault it. Maybe the only thing I would say was it was a little hot in the room. But I guess this is Japanese summer. Our room was on top floor with high ceiling. So it couldn’t be helped. The price is excellent, it’s clean and traditional. What more could you want?"
