"We enjoyed staying in the property. We had a car and can visit all the Lake District attractions from the location. The view of the hotel was superb and manage to take some nice snaps. English Breakfast was included and the hospitality was superb. I faced flush issue with the toilet but the hotel has resolved the issue within quick turnaround time. Very impressed with the quick resolving of this issue. The room service was also good with general toiletries, room cleaning and towels changed on a daily basis. I would like to extend my thanks to the hotel management for making our holiday memorable. Regards Konark"

"We loved the way the property- an old tannery- had been converted into a hotel with a lot of unique properties. Unfortunately, it had some challenges for disabled people: going up and down stairs, for example. They had a little chair lift in two places, but the wheelchair had to be carried manually up and down stairs. There was great difficulty for going from our ground floor room to breakfast on 2nd floor. They offered to accommodate by bringing breakfast down to us in the bar area of ground floor, and helping us with the stairs in several ways, but it was still challenging. The rooms were nice and clean and comfortably large, but there was no A/C, and no microwave or fridge, and little space for unpacking clothes. We had a wonderful view out over the river from our room. The bar or dining room, "The Tannery", had a nice selection of options for evening meals, which we used a couple of times, but they seemed to be out of the things that we would have enjoyed most. We loved the ancient feeling of the city, including a beautiful cathedral and an enchanting old castle."

"We had a fabulous stay at the Belsfield. The hotel is beautiful with fantastic views. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff were most helpful. There was a huge choice of food and beverages at breakfast. We will choose this hotel again when visiting the area. "

"The short break was booked so I could spend time with my Grandchildren. The kids loved there stay and swam twice a day, the kids ate free with a paying adult which saved a lot of money. Food was great and the kids really enjoyed the amount of different choices to choose from. Staff were polite friendly and very helpful! Our domestic help made us feel very comfortable and didn’t complain when we returned to our room before she had finished her jobs ! Helped me with the A/C and the bathroom shower which was really appreciated as I didn’t know how to work them. Definitely would stay again."
