Top California State Mining and Mineral Museum Hotel Reviews
Cedar Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"I’ve been to Yosemite a few times so I knew hotels outside the park were going to be an hour away but I booked this hotel quickly when I saw it was only about 35 minutes from the Tunnel view. When I say this is the BEST hotel I’ve stayed at in the Yosemite Park vicinity, I mean that with my whole heart. As soon as we walked in to check in, we were warmly greeted, the whole ambiance was wonderful from the staff and all the amenities were something I was not expecting. Multiple pool locations (including an indoor hot tub and regular swimming pool) in the hotel property (multiple buildings), lake access across the street, a couple dining choices on the property, an outdoor fire place to roast marshmallows, and the GAME ROOM! A pool table, giant connect four, an arcade game, and corn hole! It’s safe to say I will be exclusively only booking this hotel for my future Yosemite trips. Don’t even get me started on bath/jacuzzi INSIDE our room. The only complaint I’d say is the wifi was a little unstable but I wouldn’t need it after a few minutes because I’d be busy using the amenities in the hotel. TRULY recommend this hotel. I loved it, my boyfriend loved it. 1000/10!!!"
Yosemite View Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Great time with family. Would stay here again😊"
River Rock Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely location near Yosemite - convenient parking to rooms. Had a little trouble finding our room as it was on the backside of the building. Cafe with breakfast offerings was not open as scheduled so that was a bit of a bummer. Room was large and had great coffee maker in room - bathroom had good water pressure in the shower. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet and offered a good night's sleep."
Tenaya at Yosemite
10/10 Excellent
"Cottage has homie feel in the wood. Great for relaxing after a long hike at Sentinel Dome."
AutoCamp Yosemite
10/10 Excellent
"Great glamping experience. My kid loved it. Planning our next stay!"
The Yosemite Inn
8/10 Good
"Good spot if you can’t find anything closer to the Yosemite entrance. Better than Mariposa Lodge, IMO. Clean. Easy to get on the way to YNP. It’s still far from the park tho. Worth it to find something closer if you can afford a few extra bucks. The distance does take a toll for a 4 day trip. If 1 or 2 days, the distance is bearable for someone that is fit enough for the almost 1hr drive from YNP."
Cozy Cottage Retreat, Close to Yosemite, Beautiful Views, Hot Tub & More!
10/10 Excellent
"Property was beautiful. Yosemite was only an hour drive"
5th Street Inn
10/10 Excellent
"The room was clean. The staff were not on site that day, but very helpful over the phone. Large 4 post bed and a jetted tub in our room. Lots of privacy. Very close to everything in this cute, walkable, gold rush town. Nearby a park, several restaurants, gift shops, and historic sites. Although the route to Yosemite was further than you might expect, it went by quickly because it was such a scenic drive."
End of the road ....
10/10 Excellent
"The property nicely reflects the rural charm of the area. Full disclosure: it is literally at the end of the road which added privacy. The host can be reached in multiple ways although we didn’t have to because it was a hassle-free vacation. We used the property as base for our trips to Yosemite Valley and Half Dome/Glacier Point. Kitchen allowed us to cook breakfast and dinner before and after our day trips. Front porch is a good spot to have morning coffee. Or, the swing in the backyard. Our dog had a huge playground. We were there in July and I can only imagine how even more beautiful it is in other seasons."
