Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. "

"Location excellent. And, photos accurately show current condition. The manager/owner and I have had a constructive dialogue which I hope will improve his property, specifically, buying new mattresses (as the current ones are soft and sinking), adding hangers to the wardrobe, adding hooks for damp towels to hang, and, fixing the leak from the bathroom that resulted in damp conditions in the larger of the two bedrooms. Manager/owner was responsive to my concerns and cooperative. "

"When we first arrived the cottage had that old house/cottage musty smell so opened ALL the windows. Bedrooms were nice except I found a blanket in a wardrobe with, I think, dog hairs on it. We love dogs but maybe a notice to say they were for dogs and perhaps washed before next visitors, a small thing for us but maybe not for some others. "Forgan Cottage was a great place to stay for the four of us on our golf trip to St Andrews. Facilities were clean and well cared for. Location is excellent - if you want to walk you are within 15 minutes of just about everything of significance in St Andrews. While no onsite parking - there is ample free parking nearby. "We wanted to take our parents back to an area we love with fond memories and that of course was Fife. We needed a cottage big enough for four, spacious and all the essentials. Sleeping six, we found it in Kilconquhar, a short throw from Elie, Anstruther, even St Andrews and yet peaceful enough to sit on a night and read a book. Two bathrooms/toilets, a dining area more than adequate and of course a big enough kitchen to practice ones favourite pastime! What was there not to like?"

The advert did not make it clear that the cottage is next to a road of fast flowing traffic, and that parking is next to the road, which is dangerous for getting a dog from the car to the cottage. There are no dog walks nearby. The inclusion of the hot tub drew us in, but we were not going to pay an extra £100 to use it. "The property was as expected photos accurate. We had a very enjoyable stay visiting Crail after a 30 year gap. The beds were comfy plenty of hot water and cosy seating areas location was excellent . Lots of seating outside for those sunny days we managed coffee outside one morning . Lovely coastal walks."

As people in their mid sixties who need reading glasses, my husband and I struggled to open all the doors with the code provided.
