"The bed linens were full of stains from someone else’s bodily fluids. The floors and walls needed maintenance. The room smelled terrible like roach spray. When I left all of my clothes, smelled like the room. "
"Dead bugs on the bathroom window ledge with the courtesy shampoo. Live spiders and earwigs. Shower leaked and Charlie wanted to come in and fix it. Should have been done before I got there. Arrived at check in time, had to wait 30 min for Charlie to get there. No ice machine. True flea bag motel. Run away!!"

"Everyone in our group highly recommends staying here, the house is amazing and the view is great! The fishing from the backyard was perfect and the locals were very friendly, they told us about the area and some of the activities they recommended (there’s a lot to do in Clearlake!). When you’re not out enjoying the lake, the air conditioning in the house feels amazing as you lounge on the couch or melt into one of the beds (everyone in our group noted how comfortable the beds were). The kitchen is the perfect size and very well stocked for all of your vacation needs. "

"The place is very nice . Very spacious . My daughters loved to laying pool and fishing . The bite was rough because of the heat but was still fun. Definitely have to prep for the rice flies. If you don’t take measures it can get bad ."
"Beautiful property and location however everyone who lives locally is on substances and it was really uncomfortable. The property is right off the lake and you get a beautiful view. None of the locals bother you or come near the property so that was good. We were in town visiting my grandparents and clear lake is such a beautiful location. If we do come back I wouldn't mind staying at this location again. Booking was easy along with checking in and out. If you need any assistance the manager is a phone call away. The view is breathtaking! I also liked that our cottage had a stove, so we cooked everyday saving us money. The cleaning ladies were super helpful and attentive as well. Overall it was a great stay. Just be aware of the locals because just about everyone is on substances unfortunately. Also there was a ton of nats/bugs flying around so when you walk, fingers crossed nothing flys in your mouth or eyes lol, but we know its common for lakes to have bugs. Lastly i would recommend this specific property, oh and they allow dogs which is a plus! "

Here's your polished **Vrbo-ready** version:---We had such a great time staying at this Clear Lake rental! The house was just as described, well-kept, super comfortable, and right on the water, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the view. My 7-year-old niece had the best time learning to fish off the dock. It was her first time, and we’re pretty sure it’s a memory that’s going to stick with her forever. We also loved being able to swim right from the property, it was so convenient and fun.The weather happened to be absolutely perfect during our stay, mild and beautiful, which just made everything feel even more enjoyable. Of course, that’s something out of anyone’s control, but it truly added to the experience.Martine was a kind, communicative host who made the whole process smooth and welcoming. Her hospitality really made a difference in how at home we felt.This was exactly the kind of peaceful getaway we needed. "The house is cute and the view from the back deck is beautiful! We used the kayaks to paddle around the little islands and check out the springs just in front of the house. My husband and daughter caught fish right off the dock. Our dog was very happy there as well, however we did use a tie out cable because the fence isnt very tall and i didnt want him roaming the neighborhood. It was a perfect place for our lake trip!"
