"Staff were really friendly, helpful and accommodating. Facilities a little "tired" in places, but what you'd expect from a historic building. Breakfast was ok. Cooked breakfast not highest standard even though good quantity. Bed v comfortable and big room. Location perfect for central Birmingham."

"The mattress was harder than life, I asked for a late check out due to a meeting which would’ve taken me over check out time by 20 minutes. During the meeting I had a member of staff shouting at me repeatedly after I confirmed I had agreed this with reception mortified to say the least. The side table and cleanliness of the room were also in deep question. One lift was also broken meaning 9 flights of stairs every-time I left the room or a 5 minute wait for the lift."

"Great gentleman Cecil if I’ve spelt it right. He was so helpful. Gave us directions to legoland discovery. It was my son’s birthday and he gave a little gift too. My son was so happy. The rest of the staff we met too were also very helpful too and friendly. "

"Bkack mold in the room and shower. Bathroom light was automatic but took hours to turn back off and bathroom door didnt close from the outside so the light would keep you up. Musty smell in the room and no window"

"The hotel is in an excellent location, with easy access for driving and convenient on-site parking. I’d also highly recommend a visit to Pushkar next door—the food was outstanding, and it’s a real bonus that it’s linked to the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable, with cosy beds and modern, clean bathrooms, which made for a pleasant stay overall. My only issue was with the lift, which malfunctioned while we were heading up to the 14th floor. It was a bit of an unsettling experience—certainly not the kind of “thrill ride” you’d expect outside of a theme park. My daughter chose to walk to the room afterward. Although I raised the alarm while inside the lift, I still needed to inform staff once we reached the ground floor. They did arrange for engineering to investigate, but the situation could have been handled more proactively."

"Pound for pound one of the best value for money hotel rooms in Birmingham. Service from reception staff was excellent. You are close to St Chads metro for easy access to other areas of central Birmingham. I would have appreciated more variety in breakfast, particularly chopped fruits and more variety of fresh fruits (apples there were also not fresh)"

"Breakfast was phenomenal. It was strange that there was only one robe in the double bedroom and I wish coffee and biscuits were replenished in the room every day. Otherwise, I have nothing negative to say. This was my third stay in this hotel and I love it there every time. "
