"Very close to the River and other attractions plus food options both in hotel and very nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful. My wife has to use a walking stick so the room was very good for that (seat in shower etc) plus the doors downstairs could be opened by push of a button (so good for wheelchairs also)."

"11 minutes walk from Paris Gare du Nord train station. Not far from all tourist attractions. Not far from Metro entrance. Easy to find Lyme bicycles nearby to get around. Small room, didn’t need more than that, shower was small but adequate. Couldn’t get AC on in room 32, slept with windows open, 3rd floor, some might consider it too noisy, we had no problem sleeping due to noise or temperature. Staff helpful, pleasant. D stay again."

"Our trip started off in the countryside of London about 2 hours south in Dorset/Dorchester visiting a family member. We made it into London on Monday September 2nd and was greeted by very accommodating door men that quickly secured our luggage and ushered us into the lobby to head to the 35th floor to complete check-in. Check-in was painless and the attendant even followed us to the room and showed us all that we needed to be comfortable with out stay. From the wall to wall windows over looking the skyline of London, to the heated toilet set everything was top notch. We were celebrating our 30th year anniversary and for dinner my wife was not feeling to well during our dinner. We had the pleasure of meeting Alex Paris who was a member of the hotel staff that bent over backwards to try and find something that my wife could eat so that the dinner wasn’t a total waste. They offered to cook things that wasn’t even on the menu to accommodate my wife. The effort didn’t go unappreciated. Our last day there was just a nice as the first because the staff was very attentive even until the moment we left. We can express our gratitude to “The Shard” for making our 30th anniversary so special and we will return. "
