"After flying for 20 h, I arrived to this place to find nobody except for clouds of hungry mosquitos. I called, ringed the doorbell and waited for two hours until the mosquitos and the sun were unbearable. We went with my 80 plus y/o parents and my 10 y/o daughter to a hotel and as you can imagine, finding a hotel in Rome in the middle of the summer without reservation is not easy. We end up in a cheap hotel after paying the taxi 50 euros for taking us hotel hunting. I went back to villa magnolia...

"It was a pleasant stay. My biggest issue was parking. When searching for a room, I chose "free parking" as a search parameter. When we arrived there was only very little street parking available or a 20euro per day parking garage nearby. The breakfast was nice, and the building was secure. The bathroom needed some work. "Room was clean but there was mould in the bathtub grout and overall maintenance was poor - stains on the wall, a part of the shower wall fell off as I got out of the shower."
