"On arrival the converted barn was beautifully clean. Superb hot tub. Everything you could want was there except for a mop which would have been essential as coming from the hot tub left considerable wetness on the kitchen floor.The other detail, not shown in photos when booking, was the giant solar assisted heating pump in the small bathroom that was very off putting. "A beautiful cottage which is spacious and well looked after which provided a fantastic base for our weekend away. The private hot tub was a wonderful addition to the property. Generous space in bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Hosts were very welcoming before we even got there. You could tell they think a lot of their cottage as well as being super supportive towards guests. Will definitely be back."

"It was a bit odd. Just felt like someone's house not a holiday property. A printer in the bedroom, stuff in one of the bedroom drawers, things in the kitchen cupboards. It was comfortable but the cleanliness wasn't great. Washed all the kitchen equipment before use. Batroom bin had no bin liner and a used cotton bud at the bottom."

"A lovely night away including a delicious meal at the Cow and Plough. The walk around the grounds was beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the animals.A couple of comments: hooks on both sides of the bathroom door to hang clothes would be good. Also hooks on the front doors so you can hook them both open. We took our own wine glasses so having some them there would have been good."

"I booked this cottage as it was a very good price for a one night stay. I’d recommend as it was in a very peaceful area, with a lovely pub that does nice food about a minute walk away. The only downside to the properties area was the internet connection, as data was struggling for connection. The hot tub was brilliant, would recommend to make sure you burn wood straight away as it takes a while to warm up. It was a very cosy night and I’d definitely recommend and even come back again."

"We had a really lovely 1 night stay in the Highland pod at the Cow & Plough. The bed was unbelievably comfy and the pod was well designed, cosy and warm with quite a lot of room for two. It had all the things we'd need for a short stay – only needing our toiletries and food. We found the shower pressure wasn't great but manageable. The large shelf over the bed is handy but also hard to work around. A much smaller one would be better. The location is quiet and rural and we had a reminder to...

"Just came back from our bank holiday weekend break with our two dogs, beautiful place. lots of places say they are dog friendly and aren’t but this one definitely is. Enclosed garden, nice walks in the area and places to eat (loved the extra touch of a binder with local places near by to choose our walks) it is very spacious for a one bedroom, and the bed was out of this world comfortable! We would definitely stay again 🫶🏻"
