Amazing dining, adorable shops and, in general, the people are very kind and sweet. The Saturday Farmer's Market is wonderful. The homeless, however, give everything a distinct aroma of urine. But hey, it works for New Orleans so....

Arcata has typical California homeless issues. A lot of people living in trailers on the street. Lot of homeless in the parking lot of nearby strip mall, were there are several good places to eat,
