"Lovely hotel, full of character"

"We really enjoyed our week at Hillcrest Cottage. The decor is delightful, the kitchen is one of the best we have experienced in a rental, the views are lovely and the hosts very welcoming. There is only one thing I feel is worth saying which I hope will not be construed as a negative and should not at all deter potential renters either. However, when the GPS told us, “you have arrived!”, we instinctively thought, “No we haven’t”!What we could see was not at all what we expected to see. The street view of the house is not what we expected from the photos, which are taken from the other side. But we noticed a small sign on one corner of the building that said “Hillcrest Cottage” so we cautiously went inside the gate and sure enough, there was the view, the garden, the house we had loved from the photos, etc. just as described. Book it and enjoy it!You will not regret it."

"We had a lovely long weekend at Primrose Cottage with family. Beautiful setting and lots of walks over Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons. Very well equipped and comfortable cottage but please update the information and photos about the sofas in the sitting room as we were expecting 2 three-seater sofas and there was one 4-5 seater plus an armchair, which we felt was an unusual combination for somewhere that probably often hosts two couples."

"Clean room and bathroom Very slow check in and check out. My bill was incorrect on checking out I was being charged for something I didn’t have. No lift Plenty of parking spaces Nice views "

"Lovely little cottage great for a short break. We were 2 couples and it suited us just fine had everything we needed. Situated in a narrow street, no problem finding on street parking and we had 2 cars. Stroud is a lovely place with a great farmers market on Saturday which was only a short from the cottage. "

"This cottage was so lovely we stayed for a long weekend and absolutely loved it. The log burner was lovely and cozy, kitchen was very modern and had everything and more, and the bed was soooo comfy. The owners of the cottage are just next door in the pub and we couldn’t believe how nice the food was aswell as the atmosphere and service. Thank you so much for having us"
