"We couldn't fault our stay here. The location was perfect for us as the hotel is a few minutes walk from the old town and a short walk to the beach. We stayed with our 9 month old baby and requested a travel cot which was in our room when we arrived, along with a highchair and a baby bath- which was a great surprise. It felt like all details had been thought of to make it easier for us to stay with a baby. The pool and outside area is lovely. The apartment was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Our stay was in an older, 2-storey motel-type building surrounded by villas. All suites in our building faced the ocean, and the beach boardwalk was a few steps away. Our suite had a kitchenette and was large with stunning, direct views of the ocean and nearby rocks from the large balcony. Enjoyed it immensely. Difficult to find as it is in Alvor, not Portimao proper, and there are numerous Pestana facilities in the vicinity. The grounds are under construction and parts of the complex are a bit run down. "

The room was spotlessly clean, the grounds and facilities at the pool were wonderful. The food in the Henry Cotton restaurant was excellent. We played tennis and the golf course was amazing and excellent value. We would definitely recommend and we are already planning to return to the Penina next year.
