Dunas do Alvor - Torralvor

"Arrival after hotel reception closed but was able to check in at the attached hostel reception by prior arrangement. Very well equipped apartment, especially regarding cooking utensils, very good if you are planning to cook. Apparently there is garage parking but we left the car on the road, plenty of free parking. Pool is clean and in good repair, attended, the lifeguards are good guys, helpful. The apartment location has loads of restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity, there is a large Intermarche supermarket literally across the road from our apartment (203) and apartment downstairs below our balcony. Double glazing is good at keeping out most of the bar/traffic noise if you are a light sleeper. Air Con machine in both the bedroom and also the living area. Balcony has a couple of chairs and a small table, gets the sun in the afternoon. There are two lifts, but only one was working. The beach is about 10-15 minutes walk away, it's sand and there are beds/umbrellas you can rent if you wish. Also have lifeguards if that is of concern. Alvor is a nice place to wander around, doesn't seem 'moody' and was happy walking round late. We had a Coffee machine (make is Delta) you can get pods in intermarche or Spar around the corner. The cleaners were around each day, always smelled clean down the hall ways and entrance. I'd recommend the place."

"We are a family of 4 and we had a large room with a double bed and a separate portion with 2 single beds which was fantastic and prob the biggest balcony. This resort was immaculate and rooms cleaned daily to a high standard. The staff at the reception and the restaurants were really helpful. The courtesy bus to the beach was amazing too so no need to walk 20 minutes to the beach. The only small negatives were that there was no iron in the facility (but they offered a paid laundry service) and that you had to pay for the gym (based on the price, all inclusive members shouldnt have to pay as its not a cheap resort). Other that that everything was nice"

"Apartamento muito bom para uma família, com todas as condições. O facto de ser um condomínio privado com estacionamento e talvez o mais próximo da praia torna-o excelente. Muito calmo com pouca gente a aceder diariamente à piscina. Piscina muito boa para crianças com zona ampla de baixa altura."

"Lucibella and her husband were sooo very helpful and accommodating. We had booked through Expedia (never again), and despite taking payment from us and giving us a confirmation number, Lucibella had no record of it. It was 22:00 and we had nowhere to stay. Her and husband helped us get a refund from Expedia, prepared two rooms for us and stayed with us until we were all set. We have never been so well treated by a hotel and recommend their hospitality."

"Great hotel good location for beach 18min walk & old town 5 mins staff were very helpful pool area was great place for snacks. Breakfast was v calm & plenty of choice available and refreshed regularly through the morning. Book a balcony that was my only regret"
