"The First Colony Inn is a lovely old property in a great location for visiting the Outer Banks. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Buffet breakfast choices were very good and the hot option varied each day. There's a wonderful beach opposite the inn and a good selection of restaurants and shops nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return."

"The room was updated and cute decor. Had microwave, fridge, coffee maker and toaster oven in the room. Older motel that was clean. It was self Check in and was not very smooth in our case. No one was on property and instructions on how to obtain the code for our room was not very clear. We booked through a third party so did not receive check in instructions.
