"Hannah and Tanner have a great place down a deadend, 1 lane road, in a beautiful and intimate neighborhood. The room is great, wood floors, cathedral ceiling, tiled bathroom, a/c, TV, etc. They are less than a mile from downtown Hilo. Don't be shy on asking them for advice on what's happening in the area - great communicators. Awesome place to call your base on the Hilo side."

"Couldn’t ask for a more peaceful, secluded, beautiful location. A ridiculously comfortable bed. The Bali-style open-air bathroom is unique and luxurious. And a gentle greeting from the house dog was a nice bonus."

"We really enjoyed staying at this house. The house was clean, well stocked kitchen, and had a great view of the crashing waves against the lava rock. It was perfect for 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Highly recommend and would stay again"

"Staying at Sammy’s home was a life-changing experience. The entire property is spectacular; phenomenal views, the enchanting sounds of the coqui frogs and passing rain, and surrounded by nature’s beauty. The house is well stocked and beautifully renovated with moments around every corner to be appreciated. Watching the sunset from the pool and hot tub was the perfect way to end a long day of adventures. Far better than staying in a hotel. Best Vrbo rental and host…we will return for sure!"

"Central location in Hilo in a cute residential neighborhood next to a stream. It reminds me of my childhood in Honolulu. And honestly much nicer and more comfortable than nearby hotels in my opinion. The car is just a few steps away from your door which I love since I just want to get in and get out when traveling. Hannah was very kind to send communication to coordinate check in time. I definitely plan to stay at this room again in the future if Hannah continues to host it. Enjoy your time in...

"We had a great stay here, the hot tub and pool were great, lots of toys and things for our kids to play with in the pool. The house was amazing right from the attached garage to park in to the pool table and bedrooms, i would highly recommended staying here. I talked to the property owner and asked if there was a pack and play for our baby to sleep in, he said no but he ended up buying one just for us. Great service altogether."

"Location and ocean view was FANTASTIC. While it's not a 5-star/ $1000 per night hotel, it has everything you would need/ expect from an excellent beach house. We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. Great jumping off point to see sites on this side of the island (Hilo, Volcano, towns that existed a few years ago but then were taken by lava). Don't miss Uncle Robert's on Wednesday night with other locals. It was a great time. Also, the Lava Flow museum in Pahoa...

"This was the perfect house for us. We especially loved the separate bedroom for our son to stay in. It was a fully stocked kitchen and a nice grill so we cooked in every night. The hot tub was great too! Mindi and John are wonderful hosts with top notch communication. The location was perfect for exploring the National Park and surrounding areas. The pictures just don't do this place justice, it's way cooler!"
