"We were in town for my father’s funeral and had booked the hotel for over a week. According to the reviews and photos it seemed like a good choice for the price since we would be in town for at least 10 days.The non-smoking room smelled like smoke, there was a banging on pipe sound throughout the night, several bugs, pillows were plastic, and the room looked nothing like the photos. We decided to checkout and asked for a refund for the additional days. They did print us out a form showing a refund and as of today, 17 days later, no refund. Upon reviewing the receipt they used the incorrect last 4 digits of my card! I will be following up on this! That is just so wrong to do to someone during a time of bereavement!"

"During our stay the sewer line backed up 3 different times. The first time it took over 4 hours to get someone to the house in order to address the issue. The contractor advised that he was at this house several times in the past, so this seems to be an ongoing issue. In addition, one side of the house was not ready at the indicated check in. The outside pool area was a complete disaster filled with leaves and other debris. We were told that the pool was ready to go, however, it didn't look like anyone was there to clean it in over a week or two. There was also a playset that was severely unsafe for any child to use. Utensils within the house were not there besides a mix match of silverware. This house was not set up for even half the number that it claims to sleep. None of the TV remotes had backs to them. The entry lock fell off the door several times during our stay. This place was not the same place pictured in the description. No follow-up by the host after we had sewer water throughout the bathrooms and front room. "
