"The owner is giving a personnalized service, he is there for the customer, we feel it is natural and not forced or overacted.
The hotel is really close from the volcano but unfortunately really far from the cities"
"Very beautiful place with nice view of Etna and the sea. The host is really doing her best to make your stay very confortable. We really recommend this place. "
"This is an AgriTourismo establishment built around a working vineyard. The accommodation is sited uphill from the main establishment (500m above sea level) and has in front of it a lap pool ranging from ankle-deep to 2m, there is a ramp enabling less able clients to access the pool easily. There is also a jacuzzi pool. Adjacent to these is an open-air bar where breakfast is served as well as drinks during the day/evening. The main section houses a covered bar/restaurant. "Il Sentiero was a wonderful surprise. It is a very serene and picturesque agriturismo with tons of olive and lemon trees. Owner/operator Salvo is a very hospitable and lovely person. We chose to eat there each evening, and he never failed to provide us with tasty meals. We highly recommend this place for visitors to the Catania area. It is located about 40 minutes north of the airport, close to an autostrada exit, and is convenient for visiting places such as Mt. Etna, Taormina, and Messina."
"It would be difficult to overstate just how wonderful this place is. The rooms are clean and relatively spacious, the breakfast is wonderful, the owner is absolutely phenomenal (he even assisted me with gassing up my car before we left!), and the pool is absolutely magnificent…I’ve never seen a nicer pool outside of a resort!"
"A really cozy little place run by a super friendly couple. The breakfast was out of this world! Worth getting out of the shower for... Will definitely be going back."
"Excellent stay hosted by Davide and Federico. Will never forget staying next to the fire with an excellent bottle of wine from their own vineyard. Hope to visit again in the future"
"A hidden gem in an interesting town a little off the traditional tourist path. Service from Iolanda was incredible, dinner in a nearby winery suggested by the hotel was excellent. Room and hotel common areas were modern and spacious. Breakfast was lovely."
"A very stylish and relaxing hotel! We stayed for 5 days in October 2023 there and we absolutely loved it! P.S. Etna Tour organized by the hotel - is a must"

10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay here. Room was good although our shower was quite dated/small.
Hotel and staff were very good as was the food. "
Villa Cocuzzolo - Large Spaces and Private Pool - Fantastic view of Etna and the sea
8/10 Good
"A beautiful villa with amazing views, a nice pool, and with impeccable hosts. Rather remote but perfect if you want to do a bunch of walking and chilling in the shadows of the Cyclopean forge, with some sport climbing only seven minutes away as well."
"Nice place. Fabulous views from our balcony. Not far from Mount Etna sight seeing area. Good restaurant in the hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner."
Meals can be ordered a la carte or a buffet-style option together with a wine-tasting option with on-site produced wines. Both options are on the expensive side but well worth it at least a few times. Access to the whole site is above Santa Venerina - trips to Catania and Syracuse are feasible, but for a quiet vacation by the pool this is perfect. The accommodation is clean and reasonably appointed - it is functional rather than luxurious with a small covered porch area overlooking the pool and fabulous view to the sea (7 kms away). The elevation change from the main restaurant to the apartments is quite steep - driving from one to the other is an option - visitors with mobility concerns should bear this in mind.
Is it worth a re-visit? Yes."
