"WHAT A FIND!!!! A real gem After being let down with our original booking, we found the Black Lion Hotel. It's set in a small, quiet village near the river. We had a superb evening meal, the pub was busy in both the bar and restaurant area all evening, which is always a good sign.... the food was superb, service was excellent The room we stayed in was quiet, clean, the bathroom was a good size, the bed was comfy. The breakfast in the morning was superb quality made from local produce. One of the owners Rachel, sat and chatted with us after breakfast about the local area and the pub itself, which was really nice as she were preparing for a very busy Father's Day carvery afternoon and evening Its definitely a place we will return too stay and also to eat... I would recommend highly to anyone "

"Stayed at the Beach Hotel for two nights and was not disappointed. Staff were lovely and very accommodating, lunch was good quality and reasonable cost, spa facilities good, location excellent as on the beach front and short walk to shops. Nothing negative to say will definitely be back. "

"Situated in a stunning location. The hotel was easy to find and had ample parking. Check in was quick and efficient. We booked this hotel as we were taking part in a 1am Snowdon walk. It was literally two minute walk to the Snowdon train station, which was our meeting point. The village with shops and restaurants was only a few minutes walk away. Our room was clean and comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed. The breakfast was good and much appreciated after a night hike. Looking to return for a couple of days to relax and to explore the area a little more. "

"Good place to stay, beer only slightly above pub prices. Decent food in the evening. Breakfast is buffet and good value. The scrambled eggs are so lush I went back for more. They must be using cream or butter in them. "

"Very comfortable stay in one of the lodges. Great location with lots to see and do in the area, especially if you like outdoor activities. Snowdon hikes are a 15/30 minute drive away depending on what route you take up the mountain. Having free access to the swimming pool and hot tub is wonderful after a days hiking. Only negative was the quality and quantity of the breakfast was a bit lacking. "
