"The hotel has no reception personnel. To enter the building from the garage, or the main entrance, you need to have a 4 digit code that should be included in the booking confirmation - this code did not come with the confirmation from expedia. The telephone at the keypad from the garage had its cord ripped out of the wall, so it was not usuable to gain entry. Once inside, you had to check-in at a terminal that required the booking code. "Charming hotel in Riehen, sadly we didn’t get to sample the restaurant as were visiting family, however the room, decor and friendliness of the staff were all great. Also the hotel enjoys fast tram and bus links to the centre of Basel as well as being very close to the railway station."
