"A real grand hotel. Fantastic staff and fantastic experience. It's a very old structure though, there is no ramp at the entrace, so it wasn't easy to bring the buggy up the little staircase every time. Thanfully, the staff is so available and friendly they always helped. Will definitely come back."

"Had a lovely stay, staff on desk and in bar were lovely, couldn't fault them. Room was good, issue with the shower but staff acted really well over it same with cot missing for granddaughter, was sorted within minutes. Would definitely stay again and recommend. "

"We stayed for 3 days after our 14-night cruise and were able to wash and dry all our clothes. The washing machine was very handy. The provided clothes hanger had seen better days but we made it work. The location was fabulous and close to heaps of restaurants and pubs. We caught the local bus to Lewes for fun and had a great day. The apartment is quiet and comfortable. We would recommend to stay here. "

"Edwardian splendour Balcony needs attention and really good bathroom products are difficult to use in the shower as they don’t dispense properly which is a shame Would stay again as it’s a hotel with great character "

"Excellent, charming hotel. Not overly grand, but comfortable, clean, beautiful and extremely friendly. It felt like a home, like I wanted to just hang out in the lounge all day looking at the sea and chatting with people. It had a kind of magic that is hard to describe. The sea view from my room was spectacular, the bed was comfy, everything was as hoped. Above and beyond was the breakfast - easily the best I've ever had, with a ton of options, all of them first class. Dinner in the restaurant...
