"The overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, although the outside seating area could be cleared of used glasses more often. The staff, from reception to restaurant were always polite and helpful as was jousekeeping. We were impressed by management that on awakening after the fire alarm had been been deliberately set off three times during the night, a letter had been slipped under the guests doors apologising for the upset. "

"Room was good though the view was just the side road entrance to the car park. Hotel staff all very friendly and the public areas had a good ambiance. Breakfast was excellent. Our problems were with the comfort levels in the room. There were 8 pillows in our room but all with the same degree of firmness, all were extremely firm with no give at all. The result was like sleeping on a brick, one was not enough but two was way too high, no amount of pummeling affected this. When we stayed it was...

"The service was great and the locationanazing. The walls however were very thin and we could hear all the noise from the pub and the kitchen downstairs in the morning. Also there was an emergency exit light in the room which was very large and therefore it lit the whole room up and disturbed our sleep. "

"The stay at The Mooring House was very comfortable. I hadnt realised they didnt do breakfast but that wasnt a problem for us. The check in was simple and tho we arrived very early they put our bag in our room and sent us a text once it was ready. "

"Chef could not handle my no salt soft diet. My wife had to forget about her low salt diet. We were disappointed with the menu, which I found impossible to read because I am red green colour blind. The hotel appeared to not understand what is colour blindness. We shall book again as we have done before. But we will not eat in the evening. This is the second time that we have had issues with the food. "

"Lovely , friendly inn - good beers and food I would suggest a back bedroom as the road can become noisy from 4 am ish."

"Brandon Lodge is a very comfortable, clean and tidy place to stay. We had a garden room and although it’s off of a main road it was very quiet. I slept very well. The breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. We hope to stay again later in the year."
