"I was lucky to be given a room upgrade (423) which had a balcony. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The hotel has a nice bar area which felt very unthreatening as a single women. All the staff I encountered were very friendly & efficient. It is a short walk from the bus & train stations and has great access to Bath center. The pool and spa area looked lovely although I did not use them. The wifi was rather weak in my room. I will definitely stay here whenever I visit Bath."

"Great stat and great staff very central"

"This is a beautiful well located hotel, super comfy beds with great decor and a great breakfast. BUT and this is a big BUT it is not a proper Spa hotel which I did not pick up on until too late, it offers treatments but not the typical pool or sauna options you would expect, I was really disappointed and felt a bit ripped off as I don't feel it is good value for money without having a proper Spa, its a bit cheeky for it to be listed on Expedia under the spa category. But it is stunning, it is...

"I have stayed here over May years. The staff are always lovely and willing to help. The rooms are clean, and having been refurbed, a great place to stay. Breakfast was really good. However, the prices seem to have increased a lot, there are much cheaper options in the vicinity, but this is somewhere I keep coming back to!"

"Beautiful Town, and a wonderful, old hotel. Breakfast was probably one of the best we've ever had. Really loved our 1 night stay and will certainly be back for longer."

"No complaints at all. Pleased to be able to park on site, and use the bus service into the City. I have given 4 out of 5 because having been responsible for assessing situations in the past, I was reminded that nothing is perfect, to enable everyone to be 'kept on their toes'! Couldn't do that to the staff tho'!"

"Book the biggest room available, the standard rooms are very small"

"We had a really nice stay, and the staff were excellent, as was the food. Our room was in the oldest part of the Grade 2 listed building so there were some low doorframes & plenty of stairs, but I would stay here again & it's in an excellent location (with off-street parking) for exploring the area."

"Our room was lovely and very well kept. We stayed for 2 nights. The location was very convenient and quiet just passing the bridge."

"Good place"

"This is a great friendly hotel that majors in service and friendliest approach. Nothing is to much trouble always with a smile"

"Gorgeous room and bathroom. Round the corner from the royal crescent. Lovely gardens to have a cocktail in. Highly recommend."

"Cute little boutique hotel. If I were a foodie, I would have taken advantage of their breakfast. Centrally located near all the things you go to Bath for. Great staff, spacious and clean rooms. If you like a more homey stay, over one of those sterilized franchises, this is the place for you!"
