"Everything was ideal for overnight stay prior to airport departure at Newcastle."

"Concierge was excellent and overall service was very good. Super location and we parked for free which was a treat. The room was spacious and well furnished but it was roasting hot. Two windows but one wouldn't open and the other had a broken catch and wouldn't stay open. We ended up wedging it with our own items. We did report this to reception. Breakfast was good overall but bacon rock hard like leather on the buffet. Everything else was very good and we did enjoy our stay. "

"Was expecting a proper river view if the room is described as having a “river view”. Not quite the same if you have to squash your head against the window to see it. Apart from that nice room and hotel. "

"Can't say enough good about Double Tree by Hilton Newcastle. It is a 5 minute walk from the airport, to the Metro, and bus stops. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful - check in was a breeze :) The restaurant was excellent, had the best supper of our 3 week trip (braised beef). Alice, our server, was the best and we let her know how pleased we were. The room was spacious, lots of towels, comfy bed, and the heating/air conditioning unit worked great. We would highly recommend...

"The quality and friendliness of this hotel was up to its usual high standards. Good choice for breakfast, full English was tasty and filling. The only downside we found was the bar, poor service, selection of cocktails and some prices were expensive. To the point we found a lovely friendly wee pub 5 minutes from the hotel and chose to go there instead for drinks."
