"A great hotel option for our one-night stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we used the pool which was very good. We didn't have an evening meal there however the buffet breakfast was excellent with lots of options. The room was very comfortable and although paying for parking isn't the best option it was secure parking and there was a discount for guests."

"I spent 4 nights at the Hotel du Vin in June 2024. I had never been to one of their properties before. Simon checked me in and was very helpful. The rooms are generous and I was very comfortable. All the staff I encountered were very nice and helpful. The location is fabulous for exploring this town, going to a show, or seeing all the Shakespeare sights. "

"Lovely room - large, comfortable and well maintained. The only issue was the lights - we couldn't work out which switches worked which lights - they were really confusing. Didn't spoil our stay, just frustrating. There was no information about the hotel facilities - no brochures seems standard now but also no information page on the TV and no-one mentioned whether there was a gym etc. Breakfast was nice. Very well positioned for the town."

A 30ml bottle for both of us, no soap etc and only 3 English tea teabags per day, not even 4 so we could have 2 cups each! These are minor petty issues and we would definitely stay here again if I the area. "

(2 hours for 2 courses) Menu needs to change more frequently, perhaps providing a changeable "specials" board?"

"A very old property which needs some very much needed maintenance. The first room we were offered had the bathroom sink nearly hanging off the wall, and the upgraded room had a bath which was unusable because the waste had fallen off the side of the very deep bath. We felt that the gardens needed some care and attention as they could be really lovely. The cooked to order breakfasts each morning were tepid and not fresh, as though they had been cooked and left to stand for ages, not cooked...

"Stayed in one of the larger (and more expensive) suite type rooms in the annex (old hall). Room was nice and quiet, one disadvantage of the old hall is it doesn't have a lift ! Breakfast buffet style, good choice but not piping hot and plates cold. Had evening dinner in hotel. Only average, expected better. Hotel lacks a bit of atmosphere, seems to cater for corporate events, weddings and golf breaks. There is nothing else in area, so need a car. Pool very clean and warm."
