Not sure where to start, I know 131s well as go there a lot with friends. Took my wife to Cheltenham to meet some friends and thought we'd book a plush room and treat her. Bathroom was lovely with a double shower, room didn't feel like the superior room at all, not much room there. I wondered why the ear plugs were by the side of the bed, I thought it was for consideration.... My wife went to the bathroom and couldn't get out without me pushing the door (room 26). There were stains on the sheets. We got back in at about 2am and tried to sleep, I couldn't work out which of the 4 air conditioning units could turn the room down from 25 degrees. Eventually I turned them off and opened the windows, we were woken up every 15 minutes by a noise that sounded like a coffee machine (that didn't work, other than a dribble btw). The noise was the wine fridge which had been left open (not by us!). When we closed it, after waking up about 5 times, we were still woken up by it recalibrating, eventually I turned it off at the plug. When we finally got to sleep the seagulls woke us up through the open window (see a/c comment), and then the recycling of loads of glasses woke us up again. When I complained, I was not offered an apology or any sort of compensation, just a "thanks for the feedback that helps us", yes, however, it didn't help me. What a frustrating experience in what was a well marketed and highly reviewed hotel.

El cuarto y el baño me encantaron. Tiene una cocina pequeña, una salita, balcón; es muy agradable, moderno y cómodo. La razón por la cual no pongo cinco estrellas es porque el staff no me pareció amable. No están entrenados para hotelería. No saludan, no ayudan, no son hospitalarios como caracteriza a los mexicanos. Y aunque el desayuno está incluido y se sirve en el rooftop, que es muy agradable, las señoritas que atienden no son amables ni comunicativas, y tampoco están entrenadas. Una de ellas estaba comiendo y cocinando al mismo tiempo. La única persona amable y risueña fue Adel. Por lo demás, me gustó el hotel. Tomar en cuenta que hacen limpieza cada 7 días, y si quieres que limpien diariamente, es un servicio pagado

I checked in and told reception my car was parked in front of the hotel, I gave my registration plate and they told me parking was valid until midday the following day. The next morning I found I had a parking ticket on the car. When I went back in to the hotel they told me that in front of the hotel was not covered. I informed them I was not told this when I checked in, even though I had said where I was parked and neither was I shown the map of valid parking areas which was now being shown to me. They didn’t offer to pay the fine and seemed sceptical that I was not shown the map or told that in front of the hotel was not covered. I felt offended that they doubted what I said. Why would I have parked there if I had been informed of this? An upsetting experience badly handled

The staff were rude and unhelpful. We booked breakfast to host some friends and then when we went to the restaurant they claimed they had no knowledge of the booking they left us to make shift a table and then informed us they had no hot drinks/ smoothies or pancakes! We had intended to book the restaurant but after that experience we went elsewhere. They reluctantly provided room service one evening but again it was begrudgingly. Massively underwhelmed

Amazing room and facilities, easy check in and friendly staff. However it is incredibly noisy at night time (which the hotel do pre-warn you about and supply ear plugs) so if you’re someone who can’t sleep with background noise then this is definitely not the place for you.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed at and I've stayed in a lot.. The room was a lovely place to rest, the double rainfall shower was just great. The pillows and bed linen were soft & dreamy.. Loved every minute, so good to be so close to the Gin & Juice bar which is part of the hotel.. Amazing Gins, Rums and anyother drink you could think of. Parking was easy and very close to the hotel - Overall amazing.. Ohhh forgot to mention just how good the staff were.. Thankyou we will return.

The hotel is beautiful. Rooms are super stylish with lots of little nice touches. Super comfortable beds with a million enormous pillows. Slept well. Great decor everywhere and super friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful. But, this is not a quiet hotel. The street noise and the bar noise are intrusive. We stayed at the weekend so revving cars/revellers shouting and singing/music etc. were very noisy. Our own fault for choosing a city hotel for a weekend away but it was pretty bad and did affect our experience. Not the hotel's fault though. Just something to keep in mind. Also just one more point. The rooms are obviously designed to be moody/sexy spaces, but there needs to be some adjustable lighting for putting on make-up/getting ready etc. The bathroom lighting was especially poor. Would have been great to turn up the lighting for getting ready, and then turn it down when done. Nothing worse than half light for putting your mascara on!

The first night was a disaster with a room the size of a shoebox and a very long, narrow, metal spiral staircase downstairs to the bathroom which had a door that opened directly onto the corridor. This was room 35. However, despite the hotel being full, the following day we were moved to a delightful and much more suitable room and were very happy with our stay after that.
