Parking is available (EUR 14/night): you pause outside in the busy street, double-parking is normal, to unload luggage and the hotel staff will then take your keys and whisk the car away to somewhere else -- give 20 minutes notice whenever you want it back. "Great location in central Heraklion. Room was large but the shower and sink in our room were located in the middle of the room (not a separate bathroom; the toilet is a WC in a separate room). It means zero privacy for the shower. The staff wasn't warm but everyone was nice enough. There are fantastic restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. The port is also walking distance. There's a bus stop the other direction about 5 min away that goes to the airport or to Knossos. The...

"We just got back from Crete. The Royal Belvedere Resort offers various pools, dining and recreation options for couples and families. We really went for the Olympic 50 meter swimming pool. We swim laps and this was a challenge as our regular pool is 25 meters. Also we went a little off season. Food was good and plenty of it. We also took a taxi to the Old Hersonissos village and walked back. My wife had a great time shopping by the beach area shops. We will go back."
