"The property was very charming and traditional in style, and had everything we needed. A great location in the village, with many tavernas on the doorstep. The pool area was small but it was easy to get a sunlounger, with views to the mountain or over the roof tops to the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful. "We loved our stay at this beautiful house. The location is excellent, making it very easy to drive to either side of Crete. Our host was fantastic and very friendly, helpful, and highly responsive. She also gave us great recommendations for places to visit around the island. The house itself is lovely and equipped with basic supplies for cooking in the evening, which was mostly suitable for our needs. We would definitely stay here again!"

Sofia Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We (a family of 3 generations) chose the hotel specifically for its proximity to the Heraklion airport. The hotel was immaculate, the staff helpful and the rooms were also immaculate and provided all the necessities for an overnight stay. Yes, we did hear the planes going overhead - but that was expected. And the heavy drapes mitigated the noise considerably. The beds were so comfortable that none of us had any trouble sleeping. Our plane left too early to enjoy the wonderful-sounding breakfast (we had to leave at 4am!) but I am told by other guests we were missing a treat :("
