There are areas of widespread damage on the walls especially in the bathroom and the shower drains incredibly slowly.
The doors bang when they shut so if you have late returning neighbours that may wake you and while there is a chain on the door, there's not a double lock which I don't personally like.

"This uh, historic, pub inn, is the kind of hotel where they clean it so rarely you regret taking off your shoes. The smells that overwhelm you as you enter are complimentary. The shower gets an honourable mention here because not only is the mold and dirt so omnipresent you soon forget about that because it feels like the base is going to give out from under you. "Asked reception to warm up my food on arrival, was told to come back in thirty minutes, then refused when I did. Room was right by the train station, with noise and vibration from passing trains until midnight, and again from around five a.m., disturbing sleep both at night and early morning. Shower only ran hot, with no cold water to mix in, making it unusable. Overall, a poor experience. would not recommend. Staff really need to look after their service standards better."
