"Very helpful staff, an excellent breakfast and situated in a lovely rural location."

"Room was in the roof far too noisy not very clean around carpet rug edges especially at side & back of bed under table years of dust sadly .Noisy Hotel inside as well lots of people sharing rooms as people where knocking on doors to be let into rooms throughout the three nights we stayed hastent to add we got NO sleep what so ever & made us feel unwell pleased to come home . Staff were OK but not over helpful when Alarms for smoke detectors kept also going off on rooms near us also alarms going...

"The staff were polite and the rooms were well kept clean. We booked 2 rooms for a family break and it was nice. Perfect location, and we overlooked the Stadium of Light; which was brilliant. Very close to city centre which is convenient for tourists. The car park could have been free but it didn’t bother us paying £5. Will definitely recommend and come back again."

"unlike many other hotels that arose from a series of converted houses this hotel has made a really good job of converting an entire strip of houses. We did not have breakfast as it was way too expensive so went out to Caffe Nero around the corner. We booked graduation night for next month at the same time. Parking was difficult, despite getting a ticket from the Hotel to put onto the dashboard of the car."

"As many have said, this is a dated hotel with a very 1970s feel. We stayed on a Friday night as we had an early flight the next day, and the car park was very busy (as was the bar, so we ended up eating in a side room). The food was actually pretty good.
