"The worst stay that I’ve ever had. It’s such a shame as when my mum, grandma and I used to stay here - whilst I studied at Newcastle University 13 years ago - it was lovely! Whilst there are hints of glory such as beautiful old tiles and the building’s facade, it is tired, old and grubby. Upon checking in around 3PM, we were shown to our first room on Floor 1. "Staff are exceptionally well trained and rooms are very comfortable"

"The room was spacious. Bed was a little too firm for me. Room very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was just ok."

"We stayed for a night. For an affordable price the hotel was good. The room was spacious with enough space. There was parking available but first come first served. At night it was difficult to find any staff as we stayed in the Carlton hotel (their sister company)on the opposite side of the road. We tried to look for a staff to find out some information but no one was there. But other than that the hotel was nice."
