"We stayed for one night. It was a little warm in the room, but we discovered a fan in the cupboard. Generally a comfortable stay in a good location to get to a show at Theatre Severn. Plenty of restaurants nearby too.
Parking was an essential and at £5 per night was reasonable. We hear the hotel is changing hands soon. I hope the standards are kept high."
"Only stayed one night but will definitely be returning.set in an ideal position for visiting Central Shrewsbury.
Room was dated but as expected from a 15th century building.lovely comfortable 4 post bed and clean shower area.Pub was friendly and welcoming and food was delicious. We had a very enjoyable short break."
"Great little inn over the river from the main part of Shrewsbury so much quieter. Easy walking into town just over the bridge. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Nepalese restaurant as part of the premises. Good food at a reasonable price. Onsite parking is a bonus."
"An old building with historic interest situated in a town with many interesting old building which is well worth a walk around.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meals and Sunday carvery were tasty and specials were explained.
A thing to note is that there is no lift so mobility needs to be good to walk up stairs which was not a problem for us.
Enjoyed our stay here and will be back next year as still much more to explore in the ares"
"We recently stayed at the St Nicholas Boutique Hotel for one night and had a wonderful experience. The room was incredibly spacious, providing plenty of comfort and room to relax. In the morning, the breakfast was absolutely delicious and the perfect start to our day.
A special shout-out to Brush, who makes the absolute best Porn Star Martinis at the bar!
Throughout our entire stay, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We loved our short time here and will definitely be...
"Location was perfect for Welshpool. Charlie was welcoming, efficient and friendly. We had lunch when we arrived. The food was excellent and inexpensive. Breakfast was not as good as the staff member was inattentive. I chose from a varied menus of cooked breakfast scrambled egg on toast which was served badly cooked and dry on dry toast. There was also a selection of cereals and juices to choose from. The room was small but well decorated and comfortable with a bright and clean en suite. The bar...
"Efficient and friendly staff, clean rooms with all the facilities you need. Evening meal and service was excellent couldn’t fault my stay would definitely recommend."
"Well where do I start, the staff were excellent as they were so helpful, caring and very friendly. The hotel had a great atmosphere and the food was excellent as well as being very tasty. Being treated by the cat was lovely as it was so friendly and waited for us at the top of the stairs when we came to our room. So much looking at planning to go back for another visit."
"The property is unique stairs are narrow but there is a lift. Breakfasts are good but what a performance to pay for them.Breakfasts should be included in price like most establishments.Nice touch to offer a free drink in exchange for not servicing room."
"Crazy tight parking, witnessed one lady crawling through the hatch to get to the driving seat to get her car out.
Short staffed, service was slow at the restaurant, took 45 minutes to get a drink, and no they were not busy just untrained people.
Young Chef at breakfast had a bad attitude, slamming down dishes and cutlery, completely put me and family off of breakfast.
Good location for walking the town of Shrewsbury, and the bus station is next door, so you don't have to unwedge your car from...
