"I simply wanted a room for the night having attended a funeral earlier. Check in and out was simple and the twin room was spacious and comfortable if a little dated. The bathroom was ok and I enjoyed a morning shower with good water pressure. Although there is no food offering the nearby pub offered well priced meals including an all day breakfast. Not a place for a romantic getaway but as a no frills value for money stay it was absolutely fine."

"My brother and I had a spacious family room which was clean and refreshed every day. Bunk bed wasn’t good for an adult but probably fine for kids. Room was warm and shower was strong. Staff were very friendly and helpful in the pub on an evening. Nige was chatty and especially helpful with parking our motorbikes overnight No breakfast included or available, sadly, but a good choice of evening pub grub. Be mindful of long waits on busy weekends."

"Our rooms were clean and well equipped with a kettle, tea, coffee, hairdryer, fan, iron and ironing board. We had a shower/bath in our ensuite which worked well with plenty of hot water. The rooms and building are clearly not brand new and highly glamorous-but well maintained, very clean and perfectly comfortable. "Room was small but lovely. Very noisy at nights which we didnt mind but bare in mind when booking. Breakfast delicious both mornings. Very cluttered with junk in the corridoors and corners which doesn't look great but also could be a fire hazard? Staff really friendly. Good size car park behind. Lovely pub. Great price."
