"Let’s get the negatives out of the way - breakfast quality was dubious - not sure how they made scrambled eggs and cramped buffet area. The hotel is, of course, a Victorian railway hotel. The front windows need a clean. This is our second visit. Rooms are good. Would I rush back??? Probably not, but central location is a positive and parking (albeit at cost). The instructions if you are parking a car should be in capitals. THE PARKING ENTRANCE LOOKS LIKE A TAXI/STATION ENTRANCE. If you miss you...

"Very clean and well appointed hotel. Staff were very helpful especially ‘Ovi’ at breakfast."

"Prime location, great/clean rooms, comfortable beds. Friendly, helpful staff. The only surprise was the stairs to the room after we got off the elevator. If you have large/heavy luggage, and depending where your room is located, be prepared to hull your luggage. Also there are stairs within the unit (bedroom on lower level/bath on upper). Personally I liked this separation, but if you have mobility issues, let the staff know prior to booking your room. I would stay here again."

"Room was in the roof far too noisy not very clean around carpet rug edges especially at side & back of bed under table years of dust sadly .Noisy Hotel inside as well lots of people sharing rooms as people where knocking on doors to be let into rooms throughout the three nights we stayed hastent to add we got NO sleep what so ever & made us feel unwell pleased to come home . "It was close to the station. Oddly, there was no indication of where to find reception as you walked towards the hotel. We had to walk all the way around with heavy cases on a very hot day to discover the entrance. A simple sign would have helped. The room was pretty good. Breakfast adequate but not great. One teabag per person per day seems pretty mean as policy. Toilet paper ran out; we had to ask for more. Shouldn’t really have to…"
