"Lovely hotel, but in dire need of TLC. The foyer is incredible and very grand, but as you venture further into the hotel you see doors with missing paint, one lift out of order (has been for a while from other reviews). There were marks on the bedroom walls and the windows were absolutely filthy and in need of washing, the bathroom had mould in the sealant. The wooden window frames were flaking. Bed was lovely, as were the pillows. You can't fault the location and the price, but just a few...

"When we checked in we had 2 rooms booked. Room 3 & 4. When we entered Room 3 is was not ready i.e. not clean. At reception they gave us Room 5 instantly, which was ready. No big issue, this can happen. I do have pictures of the un-prepared room, but will not upload it. WHY I REDUCED THE START RATING Room 5 hardly had any hand soap in the hand despenser. There was only enough soap for one person to shower. The floor board (as you walk in the room, pass the bathroom, on the right) was...

"Had a lovely stay at the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the rooms were nice, clean and tidy. Overall, a really pleasant experience and I would happily stay again!"
