"Decent location. Easy car parking. The good points were breakfast. And a comfy bed. The negatives were no lift, and lots of steep stairs. The shower was very complicated to operate and took ages to reach a decent temperature and the control of the temperature was very stiff. No water provided. All in all bit run down."
"We were pleasantly surprised with food for dinner and breakfast! I would say the only complaint that we had was the parking outside. If you pay before you go inside you will pay significantly more than if you go inside. There's no signage that says it's cheaper if you go inside and there is no refund."
"A warm welcome from the gentleman at the front desk but from here on out nothing else positive to say.
When opening the room door, we were hit by the smell of stainless, mold and feet.
The bed somehow smelt like urine, vomit and damp mold.
Many flying bugs in the room, sofa bed was so flimsy the kids felt sea sick in the morning.
We were meant to stay 2 nights, but only just managed 1, reported to be fully booked so no change of room available and too late to find a replacement. Refund...
"Don't be deceived by the ongoing work to refurbish the property. Our room although a little dated was very spacious and clean with great views overlooking the River Thames. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room would benefit from having air conditioning.Food in the restaurant was freshly cooked. The wifi was very good. All in all good value for the money paid"
"The hotel is undergoing a renovation at the moment, but the rooms and general areas are clean and quiet, the staff in the bar - restaurant are most accommodating, the food is cooked to order but the wait is well worth it the food produced is excellent.
Defiantly recommend the food."
"The staff were very helpful, going above the call of duty.Breakfast was cooked well and according to ones taste.
The shower was clean and good.
Parking is off road and was easily available. On one occasion we had to park in paid parking just round the corner, which is plentiful.
The building is well maintained. Communication was good"
"Had to pay for parking each night. Room was dated. No full English paid between £7-£9 pound for breakfast to find out that in the mornings it would be a toasties coffee and fruit to take away. The restaurant was only Indian food and empty and closed most of time. They did not say on website there is no bar. When we arrived they said it was a dry bar no alcohol! Would not book here again! Asked for wine glass got told we don’t usually hand out in case we steal it! Eventually they gave me a glass....
"How is this a 3-star hotel - it’s absolutely lovely. The rooms are excellent: the room was clean, spacious, very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and surrounded by fields. Wonderful buffet breakfast
There for a wedding - a series of room key blunders and double bookings made it hilarious but the staff were friendly and acted quick to adjust. Faulty Towers anyone ?"
"Everything was just ok ,we like it only close to sea side view but breakfast was not good very very less item one day croissant and two different juices and next day no croissant just one juice so my children are skip the breakfast"
"Breakfast and evening meals were fantastic. The staff were brilliant and so helpful.
Better fan needed in rooms or AC would be great.
If weather became bad. Only terrestrial tv channels. Boring. Sky would be a bonus."
