Room had only one light which was the main overhead light. There was a very weak bedside lamp that was barely hanging on to the fixture. Dresser and desk were pretty scarred and banged up. "Let me start off by saying this, I was really wowed by the photos I had seen and I was very excited to use the pool. However, when we entered our room there was an intense smell of urine. Despite it looking clean we could not determine where the smell could be coming from. We attempted to disguise the smell with a air freshener but that didn't cover up the stench. As well as, we had uncovered the bed and discovered that there was some sort of stain on the sheets. In addition to this, the pool...

"I've stayed at Pod 51 several times and appreciate the fact that it provides exactly what I need—an affordable clean room and a comfortable bed to lay down on the few hours that I am in the room. I am usually in NYC for work, and am spending long hours at the office or catching up with colleagues over dinner. I do prefer one of the inner rooms (tends to be a little quieter), over street side, but its NYC. And thank you to the staff for making check-in and -out a friendly experience."
