"Went for wedding, was astonished at the route from hotel foyer to venue, especially with so many people attending. Found dining room food uninspired and breakfast cool even early."

"The Derwent Hotel itself was good and the hotel receptionist helped a lot when we had an issue with the Spa service. "The staff was great, but the property needs some work. Our “bay view” was covered by scaffolding and absolutely filthy windows. Carpets were really shabby and the floorboards all creaked and were lumpy. "

"Good points :- Location, helpful staff, clean an & comfortable rooms and dining facilities, good food. Bad points :- Car park far too small - can be a real problem finding a space and parking. No lift to upper floors and therefore access challenging for some senior citizens and a no-go for the disabled."

"Able to easily check in slightly early and the staff were really helpful, both at reception and the cleaning staff were really nice as well. The room was lovely and clean, and had Aircon which was brilliant! Beds were comfy and spacious and the bathroom was big and clean too!"
