"The main areas of the hotel have clearly had a refurb and were nice. The room was very tired and need of TLC. It was not clean, the bathroom in particular was very dirty with dust, dirt and hair all over from previous occupants. Bed was incredibly uncomfortable and room too warm but no means to cool. The breakfast was good and staff lovely but sadly for £240 a night I expected better. I wouldn’t stay again unless the cleanliness was addressed and beds upgraded. Shame as with some basic...

"Locatie zeer goed , alles in de buurt eigenlijk . Helaas geen lift , dus 4 verdiepingen met de trap . Taxi gevraagd om te reserveren maar de luchthaven , deze dingen kan je beter zelf regelen . Verder prima hotel !"

"My daughter and I were visiting Liverpool University’s open day and needed a place to stay for 1 night that was near the university. The Malacuna was a great place to stay. It was very close to both the university and Liverpool Lime Street station. Our room and bathroom were clean and modernly decorated. Had a nice hot shower in the morning too. And compared to other accommodations, it was reasonably priced."
