"Hotel does need some maintenance doing, our room had some damp in a patch in corner. flakey paint on wall in bathroom. At breakfast there was a bulb going in the main light which was flashing all the time we were having breakfast. Fire exit handle was broken in restaurant and fire extinguisher needs looking at.

"Very basic rooms it was stifling but could open the window a bit and they did provide a fan breakfast was not great the cooked was microwaved , it was like the room basic ok for a one night stopover also very noisy throughout the night with traffic"
"Everything we would expect from a hotel of this type. Clean, helpful staff, excellent dinner and breakfast, good beer, easy to park, windows that opened to let in freash air. Just great.

"Great place on the Cornwall/Devon border, equidistant from the stuff you can do in the Southwest. The food they serve is great, as is the staff I interacted with. An EV charger in the same parking area is very helpful, as well. I was surprised that my single room didn't have a TV. The water pressure and heat when trying to shower were never consistent (but usually okay). While not a comment about this hotel, know that this area doesn't have much for stuff to do. If you're on vacation here,...
"Where do you start. Car park is a Pay and Display between the hours 9am-6pm. No food available not even breakfast. Room was old and tiered. Bathroom stank and not clean, there was a floater in the loo, not nice to see when you walk in. Music from the bar went on until closing time so good luck trying to get any sleep until then. When you go to leave the next day you cant get out of the door you came in you have to use the fire escape, The only redeeming factor was the bar staff, she was pleasant...
"Lovely ‘simple self-catering’ in the heart of Dartmoor. Great set of appliances to have a nice coffee and brekky in bed! Coffee and non-dairy milk included - thank you Terry :) we really enjoyed our stay and had a super sleep. The hot tub looked inviting but the weather was just a bit too miserable for us to venture out there. Next time!"
"Plenty of parking at the rear of the pub for guest, which was great as there isn’t any parking on the Main Street. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice."
