We have stayed here before, our third time now. Here in Saltash to visit my brothers and this weekend, Saltash Regatta!
As the Brunel is located in the high street, it has all the facilities built in around it.
Room was clean but tired, but good location. Little things like a shelf in the bathroom required plug in sink needed mending.
How to switch on bedside lamp was not clear.
Ventilstion in room was poor.
No breakfast but had a good one at the railway station.
In the bar young people were vaping filling the room with vape emissions/fragrance, not sure that is allowed?
I appreciate the saying you get what you pay for £61.00 per night, alas we found there was no bath/shower towels, (that was resolved).
The noise was caused by other residents who were inconsiderate (not the owner)
Proper pub very friendly staff and customers very friendly

Some allowances must be made as the Brunel is an old building such as the floors are a bit uneven, windows are single glazed. There was little hot water and water pressure was poor however the rooms were warm and the bed was comfortable. The Brunel does not serve breakfast but next door is the Fresh Fox, a good café or Olivia's Brews and Bites across the road, well worth a visit. Bar meals are served in the evenings.

Sharon - Christmas stay
My first room double had a broken bed. When I tried to leave on Christmas morning I could not open the door I tried ringing but no-one answered. I had to ring my son who lives Saltash he came to the Brunel and was able to raise the alarm with the hotel. They gave me the room next door which was ok. What have I been charged for this 4 night stay.
Not good. The dog muck in the car park should have been a warning. Staff were lovely really helpful but the place is tired, bed’s uncomfortable I’d say the bed needs replacing. Mattress broken. Dirty towels in room. Hairs in sink. Needs a complete re fit to be on par with other places i stay in using Hotels.com. This is below the standards I expect. Was cheap but id happily pay more for better. No ales. Only lager.
Great price and location. Teamed up with neighbours to supply breakfast at reduced price.
Nothing really to add, clean and functional, allows pets. Pub staff very friendly and helpful, would stay again and bring family.
Room was very basic loose taps in bathroom grubby towells mattresses very old flat creaky springs

On a really busy road ear plugs needed it is what it is cheap, basic it was clean staff were all nice no food served in the pub Sunday to Wednesday… nice coffee shop opposite welcomes dogs
Pretty dreadful. Place stank of Canabis and cigarettes. Room was a good size. Bathroom was old and tired, lots of weird marks on the wall. Staff were really great and understanding. I had a full refund and did not stay. Just needs a good refurb and rebrand. Could be lovely.
