"Would have been 5* were it not for check in issue when I self checked in with QR code sent by hotel / coded room cards only to find it let me into an occupied room - not great for safety or security! Staff were pleasant but I would have expected such an issue to be taken with more concern. The hotel was fantasticly situated from airport a mere 200 meters from main exit but still managing to feel relaxed and not in a busy location. "My first trip to Norway and I hope to return but I will never stay at another Scandic hotel again. The Scandic Torget does not have enough tables in its restaurant. Two days running, I got up from my breakfast table to go and get another coffee, only to find that somebody had taken the table on my return and there wasn't a thing I could do about it. This is a problem particularly for solo travellers. What are we supposed to do? If we leave a bag, book or mobile phone to show the table is in use...

"Nice spacious room and bathroom, much larger than other rooms of the same price I’ve stayed in, including two chairs and a small table, business desk and chair, and a small footstool at the end of the bed is nice when putting on shoes, etc. The breakfast was excellent. "Stayed for 3 nights with family.The hotel location is good and close to supermarket and other amenities. It's a 20 minute walk to train station. No tea or coffeemaking facilities in room.In common area were there were facilitaties for coffee and tea,the tray was empty on a lot of occasions and when we asked staff just kept pointing at paid machine which was not very helpful. Self check in works well and also good facilities to store luggage. "

"Personeel was vriendelijk. Maar er waren studentenfeesten in het hotel wat veel overlast gaf. Vooral in de nacht met veel mensen die buiten erg luid waren. Hierover hadden we geklaagd maar helaas konden ze weinig doen. Het hotel zat vol. We hadden een familie kamer aan de straat kant. De kamer was erg heet, maar een raam openzetten was ivm het geluidoverlast ook geen optie. Personeel was wel super aardig. Goed ontbijt "
