"Really great place. It's just opened so everything is new and the environment cosy. Location is good and the promotional price I paid was excellent value with included breakfast and a nice 5-bed shared room with a decent bathroom. "Staying at Mombacho Lodge was an incredible experience. I got the opportunity to stay in the park. There were howler monkeys, a sloth, butrerfliesand beautiful plants and trees all around me. Big groups of howler monkeys came through the property twice each day."

"This hotel is close to the Center, in a very quiet street with a view of the Mombacho Volcano. The Manager speaks very good English and to able to advise us on the places to see, always fussing really very nice! the room are large and comfortable, the beds too, own bathroom and wifi works very well. the terrace with the balcony upstairs with the view on the volcano is superb. In addition it is the cheapest in the city, I really suggest!"

Apoyo Lagoon rests in the crater of an extinct volcano. At the lookout point there are many shops/vendors and places to eat and a restroom (for a price). It's very windy and much cooler up there so bring layers! This is a must see when in Nicaragua!
