"Clean room, lovely outlook."

"On the plus side the staff were friendly, the price good, the bed comfy and the parking free. On the negative side, everything looked a bit shabby, doors were dirty, the window in the bedroom didn’t close properly and when a heavy burst of rain occurred water was flowing into the bedroom. The plugs didn’t all work, the television was hung on a wonk, the light was broken and hanging off the wall. I was woken throughout the night with people banging doors and then at 6am was a fire alarm, I left...

"Wasn’t aware we had to check in by a certain time. An email was sent half an hour beforehand considering the location and reason we were visiting the area this could easily have been missed"

"My husband stayed at Deangate Motel due to working locally. The motel was clean staff helpful in that they let him keep the same room when he extended his stay due to not finishing his work on time. The room he was in he could see his work van clearly and the carpark was super safe as it joined the police station carpark so gave him peace of mind .will stay again as a couple so we can explore the area locally which is walking distance to Lydney. Beautiful countryside for walking."

"it was alright"

"The property description on Expedia listing was misleading. The description referred to a private bathroom. I am unsure how even loosely the term private bathroom can be used when it’s shared by all guests. Surely this is a shared bathroom. No towels provided either. If this was accurately disclosed we would have never booked at this accommodation. The beds were comfortable and room was warm, breakfast was good but it still remains that we were disappointed with the description and would not...

"I stayed in the merlin yurt which was nice and clean, comfy bed and duvet. I enjoyed the log burner as it was a novelty to me. The kitchen was basic but had everything you could need. Shop and pub 5 minute walk away. There are 3 shower/toilet combos with a great shower. A washing up area with a fridge freezer. Cleaning product was provided. No complaints at all "

"Friendly hosts, recommended."

"Lovely cottage and wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful. Ideally site near the centre of Hay and a great base for local walks."

"Great place to stay, especially with the dog. Fabulous walking right from the pod door. The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect."

"Will stay again excellent value clean warm and quiet."

"A perfect getaway to shut off from the world and relax. The yurt was in a picturesque location in the orchards and the amenities were amazing. Everything you could possibly need for an indoor/outdoor living space. The hosts catered to every need, fully stocked with all you could ask for and the only thing you need to bring are personal belongings and food."

"Lovely simple hut with electricity. Bathroom with shower, toilet & sink. Also another toilet in a separate room. Kitchen was very basic, but functional for simple food. Hosts were lovely."

"The room was very comfortable, spotless and a very good size, and the location perfect. This is a true find. Lovely accommodation and fabulous hosts! We had a perfect time. Thank you!"

"The accommodation has everything you need - well Equipped kitchen, good quality beds and bathroom fittings. Bath is huge and shower has good pressure. It was very clean. Basic cleaning products provided, toilet rolls and some toiletries which was good. Nice quiet spot with good dog walks and pub 20mins walk away. "
