"The room was clean and spacious -- for NYC anyway. Would have been nice to have lotions and better soap -- minor details. We appreciated the healthy, homemade breakfast and staff. The woman hostess at the dining room was great -- friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff was cordial but didn't go out of their way to give us a late check out (our flight was delayed hours so wanted stay a bit longer to avoid hours at the airport). The Bronx is a tough neighborhood -- filthy and seedy, but that's not the hotel's fault."

"I am a repeat guest at Amsterdam Hotel starting over five years ago. This is a family-owned and family-run hotel. They are always superb. I live in Hawaii, where we take our "Aloha" seriously. The staff certainly have that "Aloha Spirit we cherish and practice. Thank you, as always -now and in the future. The breakfast provided is appreciated. :)"
