"The room was ok until the bathroom light was flashing on and off, it took them three hours to get it fixed, also the night table lamp the light wasn’t working so the guy on call showed up to my room with his little daughter and had his kid went inside the bathroom and fix the light , and he handed me a light bulb for me to install myself, and I would like to inform you there’s never any one at the front desk , anyone can walk in and enter the property with no problem which is scary. "This is an historic property and the owner has strived to maintain its historic nature. The owner was pleasant and very helpful. We stayed in the wilderness room. It was clean. The bed was very comfortable and pillows perfect for us. The breakfast prep room was well stocked with 24/7 snacks and drinks. Breakfast selections were typical to those of other three star hotels. There is a large, quaint and well appointed sitting room central to all 2nd floor rooms."

"Wouldn’t recommend at all, our room was supposed to be deluxe. They were cockroaches, no coffee or ice machine. No pool. Chairs with rips and mouldy bathroom. Towels had seen better days. Charged $87 a night. I wouldn’t pay $20!"

"The upgraded room was adequate and clean but thats about it. No amenities whatsoever, except we did upgrade for a refrigerator - but bare bones setup. No coffee machine. We were four people in a room with three flimsy towels. Shower never got hot and water just drizzled out. Pillows terrible - woke up with neck discomfort. Not up to what we consider minimal standards for comfort in a hotel-motel stay. Go elsewhere!"

"It was very easy to check in and out at Big Tree, the rental unit was clean and exactly what I needed and the surroundings were quiet and pleasant. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you need a place to stay in Arcadia, Florida I would definitely recommend the Big Tree RV Resort."
