"The hotel was just the perfect place to have a quiet evening following a raucous party for a retired friend. The Staff was superb, the facility itself was immaculate and the breakfast offerings were second to none I've enjoyed anywhere else. The staff, from the Manager on Duty down to and including the fella preparing the breakfast offerings, all genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs ! "I stayed at the St Charles hotel for a wedding weekend getaway. It is very basic accommodations. The location is great for walking into downtown but there is a park right across the street that seemed to attract a not-so-great crowd. Lobby smelled like cigarettes which was a turn off. The room was all I needed for a weekend stay. It seemed like the room and furniture had been renovated recently and the room was overall o-k. Bring ear plugs if you are there on a summer weekend and need the AC on...
