Cutest hotel in cute little town of Tannersville, location was perfect for getting to Kaaterskill Falls and a few other locations I was checking out for Fall foliage, didn't get to meet any staff as I arrived late for check-in but room key was left for me, very accommodating 😊 Room was clean and spacious, and the price was affordable, thank you! 👍

This property was clean and has been updated somewhat. That said, it still needs additional TLC as does much of Tannersville. The motel was my home base for hiking and exploring the area. It worked for that, but otherwise the room was in need of some TLC as was the exterior.

Loved the view! Need a light near coffee pot/fridge/microwave so early morning person making coffee, etc., doesn't need to flip on bright lights & wake others. Parking on steel incline was dicey.

Sun View Motel has a very homey feel to it. The room was very clean. It has a grassy hill to walk, sit and read. I’d definitely go back there to stay!

The Sun View is an old fashioned motel—not a chain or franchise. The room we stayed in was spotless, well maintained, simple, attractive, and not at all grandmotherly fussy. (As a grandmother myself I reserve the right to say that!😊). The TV situation was bad (bring your own computer with a cable to use with the TV) so we ended up using cellular service, but we didn’t come there to watch movies. If you don’t need a ton of amenities, this is the place for you.

Clean rooms & gorgeous views! The bathroom was large, and the beds & floors were very clean & well-maintained. Each room had an outdoor table & 2 chairs provided to sit at to enjoy the mountain views. Plus, there was a large side yard on the property with plenty of room for anyone to enjoy it. True to its name, the Sunview has areas where both the sunrise & sunset can be seen (the sunset view is especially stunning).

The room was clean, beds and pillows were good. Parking is on site self parking. Amenities were ok, but I recommend to bring your own. Motel was quiet at night and the black out curtains help to have a good sleep.

Sun View is a great place to stay when skiing at Hunter Mtn. The rooms can easily handle 4 adults with ski equipment. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Will definitely stay here again in the future.
