"I liked that the beds were comfortable and the only room noise was the air conditioner. That was "white noise," so it was easy to sleep through. What I could not hear at all was the 24 hour noise of Times Square, which was great! During the day the hotel lobby and public areas were filled with construction, which was inconvenient and unsightly, but not impossible. All staff, including the construction workers, were very helpful, friendly, and courteous. My only BIG complaint: the downstairs...

The other room on the 3rd floor had more room and looked cleaner in the hallway. The hotel could invest in better amenities, like toothpaste upon request, and better lotion, shampoo, conditioner (did not have any in the rooms) and body wash. The blinds in the room on the 2nd floor did not cover the entire window. Breakfast, which was included, was cold bagels and muffins...

I had never stayed in the Bronx before and I was surprised by the fantastic experience staying at this hotel and walking in such a colorful neighborhood, with the neighborhood folks sharing a great example of joy and aliveness. Seeing people singing, dancing and hanging out having fun was a joyous experience for me."
